One of South Carolina’s most beautiful jewels is Greenville, South Carolina. Greenville has a unique mixture of large town activities in a small town setting. One of its most popular attractions is Falls Park. Falls Park is a public garden located downtown that features the only curved, cantilevered pedestrian suspension bridge in the United States. In addition to Falls Park, Greenville has many restaurants, museums, and even a city-wide scavenger hunt that will ensure all guests have a great time during your destination wedding weekend.

Upon first glance visitors are often drawn to Greenville’s quaint, comfortable atmosphere. Soon after, most people begin to love the city for its many activities, and you will certainly have a wonderful time while celebrating your wedding day or weekend. Aside from the nationally known Falls Park, Greenville is also home to a popular zoo. The Greenville Zoological Park has many family friendly activities and even has rental shelters available for those visitors who would like to make a day out of visiting.

If you’re looking for a unique, free activity, there’s always “Mice on Main.” There are nine bronze mice hidden in downtown Greenville, and there are clues throughout downtown to point scavenger hunters in the right direction. This is a fun activity that can easily involve one family or teams of families. There are also many churches and hotels downtown so your guests can be in walking distance to the ceremony or reception. There is also a downtown trolley and self-guided tour of downtown Greenville that allows visitors to explore the city safely without the help of a guide.

Greenville also has some notable venues including The Commerce Club, a beautiful building overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains, the Greenville Shrine Club, and the Carolina First Center to name a few. Each building is ideal for a large or small wedding and has many rooms to accommodate events for the entire day. Greenville also has many restaurants that would fit any budget and any taste. Some of the more recognized restaurants include: Two Chefs, Brick Street Café, Stellar Restaurant and Wine Bar, and Mary’s Restaurant at Falls Cottage. All four of these restaurants range in price and type, and are just four of many great places to dine in Greenville.

Greenville has charm and an abundance of things to do and see. If it is your chosen spot for your destination wedding, there will be no shortage of activities for you or your guests. There are great restaurants, family friendly activities, beautiful parks and gardens, and attractions like no other that can be found in the United States.
